Weddings

The beautiful sanctuary with its center aisle and simple elegance is the perfect setting for a small intimate wedding. The seating capability of the sanctuary is between 100 – 120. The church is fully accessible.

South Chatham Community Church is dedicated to the ministry of the good news of Jesus Christ. The church may be available for weddings of nonmembers who respect the Christian faith in their ceremony. Use of the church is solely at the discretion of the pastors, deacons, and board of trustees. There is a $230 fee for building use (it includes a special cleaning fee).

Many people spend all their time planning the wedding with little preparation for the years of marriage ahead. The pastors require a minimum of three premarital counseling sessions, if they are to perform the wedding. The pastors consider it a privilege to be a part of this very special day and have maintained friendships with the couples they have married. There is an additional fee if the pastors perform the wedding.

Other Christian clergy may also perform the wedding.
